I love to write, and fully believe that healthy people are the foundation for a happy, equitable world (Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, anyone?). This is why I’ve spent a lot of time Marketing in the healthcare space. Think health insurance, public health, and nonprofit efforts. Other areas of professional interest include education and technology, but mission-driven work is ultimately what I’m drawn to.
Here’s a little bit more about me:
Me, a 2020 Employee of the Year? I feel very honored to have earned this recognition in what was a very difficult year for a lot of us.
I was mentally geared up to go to law school for about ten years, then realized a more creative career outlet would be a better fit. Hey, this just means I’m extremely detail-oriented and great at research.
Outside of work, I love all things history and political theory. I spend a lot of time reading and watching documentaries.
On my off hours, I also gallivant as a home chef, baker, mixologist, knitter, and beat chef. If you’re wondering, “What’s a beat chef?” that just means I collect vinyl and DJ on occasion.
I’m very proud of my Mexican heritage. Can you blame me? Mexican food and literature are spectacular.
